Callan’s career under the cln project was kickstarted by winning Universal Music and Budweiser’s Made for Music award. Shortly afterwards he remixed the Odesza hit ‘Say My Name’ which soared to the top of the Hype Machine charts and clocked up a million streams on Soundcloud alone. He has since toured internationally including a performance at Red Rocks Ampitheatre supporting The Chainsmokers alongside San Holo. Callan has been also fortunate enough to support several noteable acts throughout his career, including Odesza, Lunice, Keys N Krates, Araabmuzik, Illenium and legendary Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke.

When he isn’t working on music, Callan is also a professional ornithologist and is actively involved in using acoustics and artificial intelligence for threatened species conservation. His work in this space was recently featured in the Guardian.

Callan’s music has been released almost entirely independently, but his single Breathe was released through Skrillex-owned label OWSLA. His work has been featured in numerous notable publications including Rolling Stone, Pigeons and Planes, Majestic Casual and Dancing Astronaut to name a few. Callan has self-produced and mix/mastered almost his entire catalogue, and started working on production and mixing for other clients. He mixed the ‘inside weather’ EP by JVLY which has accumulated over 3 million streams on Spotify and was supported by Triple J including spins on Richard Kingsmill’s new music show. He is also responsible for mixing the entire 44 Ardent catalogue released via Mammal Sounds Records, which has already racked up over 1.5 million streams.

One of Callan’s career highlights was a contract to compose, mix, master and produce a contemporary electronic work for the Queensland Ballet Bespoke program. This internationally renowned ballet company is directed by Li Cunxin, author of Mao’s Last Dancer. Callan performed and wrote this piece alongside friend and collaborator Dr. Katie Noonan who has been named as one of the greatest Australian vocalists of all time.

Callan released an album in late 2022. The first single, Undone ft. Holly Hebe, was released in early June and was featured on numerous Spotify Editorial playlists including New Music Friday AU, Fresh Finds, Indie Arrivals and Front Left.
